Smagorinsky turbulence model
\[\partial_t v_i = ... + \partial_j(2 \nu_T \bar{S}_{ij}),\]where \(\bar{S}_{ij} = (\partial_i v_j + \partial_j v_i) / 2\). The turbulent viscosity \(\nu_T\) is computed for this model as
\[\nu_T = C \Delta^2 \sqrt{2 \bar{S}_{ij} \bar{S}_{ij}},\]with \(C = 0.18\) and \(\Delta = L_x / n_x\).
